Golden Delicious Apples (Local – Not Organic)

Ah, the noble Gold Delicious! What else do you need to know except that it keeps its flavor and texture in spite of its delicate, thin skin. (It could almost be Italian.) Eat it, bake it, make a sauce – you will not be disappointed.  In the orchard, every fifth tree is a gold delicious because of its pollinating prowess.
