The forsythia is in bloom, the extended clan of house finches have invaded every available crevice of our buildings, and the first early greens are popping out of the greenhouse. It must be spring – in spite of the dire reports in the newspaper that there will be weather. (Our craving for disappointment knows no bounds, but I’ll take meteorological hysteria over the drivel we were being spoon fed a year ago.)
As usual we’ll be starting off the season slowly with with early salad mixes, root crops, mushrooms, apples, and eggs. Fresh goat cheese is back from Pipe Dreams Fromage and we’ve added a few new items to excite the palate. Dried herbs are now available until our fresh supply starts. We also have fennel seed harvested from last year’s fresh fennel.
In a few short weeks we’ll have a full line of vegetable plants available, so start planning your gardens no matter what the newspaper tells you about marauding frosts and freak snow storms.
Don’t forget to check out 3C Acres Bread and Meat selection. Tristen has added some new loaves to her baking repertoire.
